Co-dependency and enmeshment are common ways of relating to each other in our families. Most families value same-ness. We want to be the same as the other people in our families in order to feel like we belong and are accepted. Until something in our life pressures a change and we’re not the same anymore. It’s easy to feel like you don’t fit in or belong. But, this is actually good news. You now have an opportunity to leave co-dependence and move into a more mature relationship. This episode outlines some of the foundational skills required to develop Differentiation – the ability to mature in our relationships.
